10 Westport Road Summary
10 Westport Road is currently the national headquarters of Deloitte & Touche. Built in 1974 as the world headquarters of Richardson-Vicks, the award-winning building is comprised of two office floors on columns 10 feet off the ground. Glass exterior walls are within 15 feet of a heavily wooded forest and provide panoramic views of an undisturbed woodland.
Building Features
The existing house from the original estate, connected to the main building, was expanded to provide executive dining rooms, meeting rooms and a cafeteria. Parking is under the building and on the roof, and additional surface parking is available. There are approximately three parking spaces per 1,000 square feet.
Investment
The land and buildilngs were acquired with the potential for additional development. Ultimately, in 1999 an additional building of 340,000 square feet was designed, constructed and leased. Since the complex was sold, the Property Group has continued to manage the property.
